Insert Alternate Blank Rows in Excel<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u2018Insert Alternate Blank Rows In Excel\u2019 <\/strong>Inserting Rows & Columns in an Excel spreadsheet is a common thing but in few cases, we need to insert alternate blank rows in Excel<\/strong>. In this case we may think Macro is the only solution for this but, it is not so. In today\u2019s article, I will teach you\u2019ll the easiest way to add alternate blank rows in Excel. Look at the data in the following picture below where we need to insert alternate blank rows.<\/p>\n

Most of the Excel users have been facing severe issues on how to add alternate blank rows in Excel.<\/strong> Hence, there is no need to write any Macro code for this. Following are the steps required to insert alternative blank rows.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Insert an extra column after the last column. The name of the extra column can be anything. In the given image below I have inserted an extra column named Temp.<\/li>\n
  2. Now fill the extra column with numbers. Over here I have filled the Temp field with numbers from 1 to 11.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Then copy all numbers from D2:D12 and paste after the last filled cell on the same column, that is in D13, refer to the following image for this.\"how<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Then place your cell position anywhere in the Temp column that is the last column and click on the Sort icon (A to Z or Z to A). You can go to the sort icon by clicking on the Data tab and click on Sort & Filter group on the ribbon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. After clicking on the Sort icon Excel Sheet will look like this.\"insert<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Then delete the extra column, which is the last column (Temp). Now your data will have alternate blank rows. Refer to the below image where we have successfully entered alternate blank rows in the excel file.\"insert<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
